Program evaluation framework for a movement-building nonprofit

A national nonprofit focused on parent leadership and educational advocacy engaged First Water to design a program evaluation framework. The core diagnostic challenge: previous impact measures conflated what the organization did with what the leaders it supported did. First Water developed the evaluation approach, including defining impact measures, a movement impact indicator framework, a data collection strategy, dashboard architecture, and a governance model for ongoing evaluation cycles. The framework was built to be implemented and maintained by the organization's internal team.

Culture assessment and organizational development

A regional food bank engaged First Water for a culture assessment and organizational development engagement. Work included staff surveys, empathy interviews, and observational analysis to establish a current-state picture of the organization's culture. Findings informed a learning and development agenda designed to build the organizational conditions for sustainable performance.

Executive coaching for a foundation-funded leader

A foundation-affiliated executive engaged First Water for individual executive coaching. The engagement used the Leadership Circle Profile® 360 to establish a behavioral baseline, identified specific development goals, and tracked progress through a structured behavioral testing methodology. The client documented measurable improvement in the leadership behaviors identified at the start of the engagement.
